D.C. Law 19-94 – Health Benefit Exchange Authority Establishment Act of 2011

Purpose: to establish the Health Benefit Exchange Authority and its functions and duties including implementation of the Federal Affordable Care Act.

 

D.C. Law 19-0262 – Sustainable DC Act of 2012:

Purpose:  to make DC the greenest, healthiest, and most livable city in the nation by cleaning the Anacostia River, promoting urban agriculture, protecting children’s health, assisting low income and elderly households improve home energy efficiency, and other measures.

 

D.C. Law 19-266 – Comprehensive Impaired Driving and Alcohol Testing Program Amendment Act of 2012:

Purpose: to reform and strengthen the District’s laws combatting driving while impaired by drugs and/or alcohol.

 

D.C. Law 20-62 – Driver’s Safety Amendment Act of 2013:

Purpose:  to allow for the issuance of a limited purpose driver’s license, permit, or identification card to a District resident who has not been assigned a social security number or cannot establish legal presence in the United States.

 

20-0071 – New Columbia Statehood Initiative and Omnibus Boards and Commissions Reform Amendment Act of 2014:

Purpose: to abolish certain boards, commissions, task forces and committees that are no longer necessary for the functioning of District government.

 

B20-0294 – St. Elizabeths East Redevelopment Support Act of 2014:

Purpose: to redevelop the St. Elizabeths East Campus with new mixed-use neighborhoods of retail, office, housing, open space, and cultural amenities that will maximize the growth of innovation-based small businesses and create jobs.

 

D.C. Law 20-102 – Electric Company Infrastructure Improvement Financing Act of 2014:

Purpose:  to outline the legal and financial standards for the District’s power line undergrounding program that will provide power line system improvements to achieve reliable electric service in the District.

 

B20-0382- Skyland Town Center Omnibus Act of 2013:

Purpose:  to redevelop the Skyland Shopping Center and adjacent parcels. Conceived more than 25 years ago by the residents of Ward 7, the town center will include approximately 340,000 square feet of first-floor retail space and 480 residential units set in a vibrant, town square setting.

 

D.C. Law 20-385 – Sustainable DC Act of 2014:

Purpose:  to continue making the District the greenest, healthiest, and most livable city in the nation by making data on energy and water use more accessible, creating an environmental literacy program, prohibiting the sale or use of polystyrene containers for food service, and other measures.

 

B20-0805 – District of Columbia Soccer Stadium Development Act of 2014:

Purpose: to authorize the Government of the District of Columbia to proceed with the development of a new soccer stadium on Buzzard Point that will spur economic development along the Anacostia River and create jobs and economic opportunities for District residents.

 

B20-0945 – Promoting Economic Growth and Job Creation Through Technology Act of 2014:

Purpose: to provide enhanced financial tools for the District’s tech industry, expanding existing incentives to provide benefits to all qualifying District technology businesses – no matter where in the city they are located.

PR20-1082, Residential Townhomes Parcel Disposition Approval Resolution of 2014

Purpose: to redevelop the McMillan Sand Filtration Site to better fit the needs of the residents of the District. Redevelopment will include townhouses, apartments, a healthcare facility, a supermarket, and a park and community center.
